Out-of-Network Services

Dr. Oakley is considered an "out-of-network" provider and does not participate in any health insurance or managed care plans.

At the end of each appointment, you will receive a superbill containing all the necessary information for reimbursement from your insurance company. You can submit this to your insurance company or keep it for your financial records. To ensure coverage, it’s recommended that you contact your insurance provider in advance of treatment to verify your out-of-network benefits and details. Reimbursement will be made directly to you by your insurance company based on your policy terms.

Dr. Oakley is not a covered provider for Medicare or Medicaid. Therefore, patients with Medicare or Medicaid must forego using these benefits for his services and are not eligible to file claims independently.

A Note On Out-Of-Network Services:

While out-of-network services may initially be higher in cost, they offer several benefits:

  • The ability to create an individualized treatment plan with your therapist based on clinical need and evidence-based practices, rather than regulated protocols imposed by third-party payers.

  • The option to exclude third parties from billing or paperwork.

  • An investment in evidence-based treatment that often reduces or eliminates the need for ongoing services over time, resulting in lower long-term out-of-pocket costs.
